About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist providing guidance and direction to a group of specialists and support personnel responsible for planning, coordination monitoring, integrating, and executing a broad variety of actions to include price and availability (P&A) actions, LOAs, Amendments, modifications, and Loan/Lease Agreements in support of security assistance programs for assigned weapon systems.
Duties
Responsible for developing and formulating total program initiatives for assigned weapon systems leading to providing a total package concept for foreign customers.
Coordinate plans for release of product improvement development data to foreign customers.
Designate command responsibility on assigned systems for development of security assistance agreement with full responsibility for effective, timely, and efficient execution of all interrelationships within and external to the command.
Identify major issues and crucial aspects which may impede or preclude program accomplishments and develops effective solutions.
Exercise full authority as a member of the pay pool management in assessing contribution and preparing statements of duties and experience for Demonstration employees.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP)/Key Leadership position. Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
- Selectee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category of Life Cycle Logistics and Advanced Career Level III Certification must be met within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- Temporary duty travel for up to 25 percent of the time required
- Employee must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Providing authoritative advice on integrated production support throughout all phases of the lifecycle; 2) Tailoring regulations, formal guidance, and processes specific to program and program deliverables; 3) Overseeing the planning and implementation of product support efforts to ensure the best use of available resources; and 4) Leading a team of Logistic Specialists to execute plans and strategies supporting Product Support Elements in a program management office.
CONTROL POINT
This position is subject to a salary control point at the GS-14, step 10 base salary. Salary for the position will be set within a range from $127,073 to $165,197 with locality. If the incumbent's salary currently exceeds this level, the salary will be at the incumbent's existing salary.
