Duties

Analyze, assess, and clearly communicate program objectives, policies, operations, and resource data to ensure efficiency in the development and execution of the command’s SHARP-related prevention activities. Conduct environmental scans and determine the manner or type of needs assessment that is most appropriate. Identify efficiencies in primary prevention development and delivery. Use professional knowledge to support the command’s integrated prevention efforts to include planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes against sexual harassment and sexual assault. Provide professional consultation services, advice and assistance to commanders and requesting staff on complex technical problems within the command pertaining to the SHARP Program. Represents the organization in collaboration efforts, at briefings, and at other meetings to present SHARP Program prevention initiatives and implementation plans, SHARP Program prevention plan design and SHARP Program prevention impact findings. This position may require occasional temporary duty (TDY) business travel. Position requires working overtime on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Security Security Clearance.
  • Requires successful completion of OSD and/or Army-level prevention training course and completion of all requirements within 90 days of being in the position.
  • Position is Mission Essential.
  • Individuals will be screened against the following: the Army Family Advocacy Central Registry, Army Criminal Investigation Command/Crime Records Center, Previous Employer references.
  • Individuals will also be screened against local police records, records maintained in the Army Military Human Resources Record and/or Official Personnel Folder.
  • Individuals will also be screened against the following: including adverse action files, Army Inspector General files, Army Substance Abuse Program and other records maintained on the installation that may be relevant.
  • Individuals found to have derogatory information in any check may not be eligible for this position and may be removed from further consideration.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 10% of the time.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: coordinate activities among the community to promote prevention of sexual harassment and assault; conduct risk assessments to identify the need for specific types of preventative training required at various locations throughout the organization; provide recommendations regarding administrative or operational aspects to enhance readiness across numerous organizations concerning the prevention of sexual harassment and assault. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ComplianceOral CommunicationResearch Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
