About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. Employees work Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and childcare available. Mass transportation is available at minimal cost. Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.

Duties

Provide process improvement strategies for Sierra Army Depot. Assist management officials with defining project scope to be able to improve the project. Develop process improvement solutions to grow and sustain improvement culture within the organization. Perform briefing to higher level officials on process improvement processes.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Term employment is subject to a one year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
• This is a Term position scheduled to last two years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.

• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
• For the GS-11 Grade Level: The incumbent must possess an Army Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent (must upload your certification with your application package)
• Must meet all requirements for DATACL2A - TACOM Data Analytics (DA) Level 2 Analyzer Certification Requirement within 24 months of being placed on the position.
• For the GS-07/09 Grade Level: The incumbent must pass the Army Lean Six Sigma Green Belt exam and receive Army Green Belt Certification within 24 Months.
