About the Position: Serves as Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) concept developer focusing on the Joint and Army doctrine and concepts for Global Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Army Missile Defense, Transregional Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Space based capabilities related to missile defense activities. This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.

Duties

Reviews, analyzes and develops plans and metrics to complete program reviews and provides Command oversight and evaluation of technology applications. Reviews, analyzes, plans and participates in concept and capability development meetings and conferences and Joint/Army/International war games. Reviews, analyzes, and recommends procedures, priority, and metrics to systematically develop, review and approve concepts and capability development documents. Manages the staffing of assigned Concepts, Requirements Determination Documents and White Papers with OSD, Joint Community, DA Staff, MACOMS, Army Futures Command and Centers of Excellence.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance requiring drug testing.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Business travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
