This position is located in the Division of Advice, Injunction Litigation Branch of the National Labor Relations Board. The Board is responsible for the adjudication of unfair labor practice cases and representation cases arising under the provisions of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935, as amended.
Duties
The incumbent of this position will serve as Supervisory General Attorney (Labor) ,GS 0905 15in the Injunction Litigation Branch, Division of Advice, Office of the General Counsel, under the general supervision of the Injunction Litigation Branch's Assistant General Counsel. The incumbent is responsible for:

- This position is in the Excepted Service.
- This position is not part of the Bargaining Unit.
- Active Bar license is required for verification. Bar license must reference Bar number and indicate the status of good standing. A Self-Certification Form is not acceptable verification.
- This is a positive education position. Current NLRB attorneys are not required to submit a copy of their transcripts. However, if attorneys are within 3 years from receiving their JD, a transcript must be provided with their application package.
- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Statement:
The ideal candidate for this position has experience providing authoritative guidance and has extensive knowledge of labor law and Injunction litigation. Experience practicing before courts of appeals. Demonstrates excellent negotiating, analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail preferred.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Education
Must have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have the first professional law degree (LL. B. or J.D.).
Bar Membership/Certification
Applicants must be an active member of the Bar in good standing of any state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or any Territorial court under the U.S. Constitution. Your active Bar license must reference Bar number and indicate the status of good standing. Agency Internal Self-Certification Forms are not acceptable for verification.
In addition to the BASIC REQUIREMENTS, applicants must also meet the following:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be qualified for this position, applicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which has provided them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the Supervisory General-Attorney (Labor) (Deputy Assistant General Counsel) at the GS-15 grade level.
Specialized experience includes:
Experience providing legal counsel in such cases concerning Section 10(j) injunctions, including if appropriate appeals of such cases, and related Section 10(j) and 10(I) contempt authorizations.
Experience advising and formulating policy on Section 8 of the National Labor Relations Act and similar statutes involving the Act.
Experience analyzing and researching unfair labor practice laws and Section 10(j) and 10(l) principles and practices in order to make determinations on such cases.
