Duties
You will perform routine preventive maintenance on a wide variety of mechanical equipment such as roll-up doors, air compressors, exhaust vents, and scullery equipment.
You will assist machinist, equipment mechanic, sheet metal mechanic, welder, and other metal trades in basic maintenance, repairs and installations.
You will perform tasks such as holding and handling tools, holding metal parts, obtaining materials and moving objects, equipment and material.
You will use common hand tools of the various trades to perform routine helper duties assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to wear approved full-face and half-mask respirators and understand their proper usage and fit.
- This position requires standing, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
- This position requires lifting, moving or carry items of up to 75 pounds over distances of up to 30 feet.
- Work is done indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Work will be performed from ladders and scaffolds and will require overhead work or work involving stretching and awkward positions.
