About the Position: Serves as Tasking Specialist working in Operations and Tasking Division, G33 Current Operations, Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7. Applies a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the operational, organizational and functional missions and relationships between Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), Combatant Commands, and subordinate elements in the coordination and execution of the TRADOC tasking functions.
Duties
Receives mission requirements, from internal and external sources (Department of the Army (DA), executive agents, major commands (MACOMs), TRADOC major subordinate commands, TRADOC internal elements, etc.).
Builds requirements, processes requirements, verifies data entry of requirements and performs quality control on requirements submitted to HQDA for resourcing.
Employs current knowledge and understanding of staff missions and project requirements as well as a thorough understanding of the Command's goals and intent orchestrating critical, highly complex, and frequently sensitive actions
Establishes personal contacts with counterpart tasking lead staff action agents and their respective immediate supervisors for exchanging information and ensuring rapid processing of information to meet short suspense tasking requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining and executing detailed analysis of task requirements from various internal and external sources; developing and implementing policies, procedures, and staffing actions to support mission and/or operational needs; utilizing various office automation tools available for office management and communication. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
