You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Policy and Strategy Directorate of OFF OF THE UNDER SECRETARY OF THE NAVY.
Duties
You will assist in coordinating and monitoring DON policies and plans related to DoD strategic guidance related to nuclear weapons policy, Arctic policy, maritime security cooperation, naval force planning, and readiness.
You will assist in coordinating and monitoring of the implementation of Australia-United Kingdom-United States (AUKUS) program, and/or associated defense policy processes.
You will prepare reports and presentations containing recommendations on implications for future defense policies, legislative matters, force structure, posture and fleet design.
You will represent the Director for Policy in understanding the capabilities, requirements and force structure necessary to support the policy and strategic posture for the Department of the Navy.
You will identify and understand major political, economic, technical, and military trends to develop policies to support future naval operational capabilities.
You will ensure proper coordination of staff actions and maintains close working relationships with counterparts from the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience as a policy analyst or advisor responsible for development and coordination of U.S. defense policy or international affairs matters at the Department of Defense and its components, the National Security Council, or Congress;
Experience communicating, drafting, coordinating, and preparing defense policy correspondence and other documents for senior leadership signature in a time-constrained environment;
Experience with defining workflow, resolving coordination issues, and working with diverse organizations with differing roles and responsibilities to include military and civilian staff;
