The primary purpose of this position, PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, NJ-1152-03, is to provide support to the assigned work center. By performing a variety of production planning, scheduling, and supply tasks in direct support of maintenance programs such as the repair, overhaul, manufacture, and/or modification of complex weapon systems.
Duties
1. Knowledge and experience in the recurring manufacture, overhaul, or repair of products or projects using multiple process production methods and procedures to develop information necessary for the control of a complex product.
2. Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
3. Participate in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and perform special assignments and identify the need for special projects and initiate milestones and goals.
4. Represent the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-07 or equivalent in other pay systems. An example of creditable specialized experience includes planning, estimating, scheduling, and expediting the use of labor, machines, and materials in specific manufacturing or remanufacturing operations that employ mechanical or automated production systems and methods in the fabrication, rebuilding, overhaul, refurbishing, or repair of any type of Government-owned, controlled, or operated equipment, systems, facilities, and supplies. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
