As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assistance to monitor, assess and improve the quality of operations in the Office of Patents Stakeholders Experience (OPSE) which is critical in our agency's mission patents and trademarks.

Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes for the GS-09:
To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the basic requirements below. One year or twelve (12) months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is inspecting and evaluating the quality and accuracy related to preexamination and post examinations patent policies, procedures and rules; knowledge of application and statistical analysis techniques for purposes of evaluation of quality control; as well as identify trends and making improvement recommendation in the area of work quality, customer satisfaction and process and procedures.
Specialized experience for this position includes for theGS-11: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the basic requirements below. One year or twelve (12) months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is inspecting and evaluating the quality the accuracy related to preexamination and post examination patent policies, procedures and rules; knowledge of application and statistical analysis techniques for purposes of evaluation of quality control; as well as identify trends and making written and oral improvement recommendation in the area of work quality, customer satisfaction and process and procedures to internal senior management as well as external stakeholders.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
