You will serve as a Air Traffic Control Specialist (Center) in the Combined Center Radar Approach Control Facility (CERAP) and the Air Traffic Control Tower of the Operations Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.

Duties
You will provide control and separation of aircraft using vector, speed and altitude separation techniques.
You will provide priority assistance to aircraft in distress.
You will coordinate with other Air Traffic Control Centers on Air Traffic Control issues
You will supervise administrative and training support matters pertaining to Air Traffic Control Facility.
You will determine the interval to be used between successive approaching and departing aircraft taking into consideration all aspects of the Air Traffic Control situation.
Requirements

- You must demonstrate possession of valid FAA Control Tower Operator Certificate or FAA Air Traffic Control Specialist Certificate with ARTCC rating.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- Failure of the incumbent to meet training requirements within normal time limits (18 months from date of assignment) may constitute grounds for reassignment, demotion or separation from employment.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a current DoN Class III Medical Certificate.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final CONFIDENTIAL security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing terminal/tower services in support of aircraft operations in the National Airspace System OR experience providing radar services in support of aircraft operations in the National Airspace System.
