You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Training Facility, Pacific (LTE PAC) of SCSTC LTFPAC.

Duties

You will manage the specific technical equipment related programs and projects by ensuring proper management, performance and administration. You will advise command leadership in setting program planning, monitoring and coordination of tactical and communications functions. You will direct the installation, maintenance, modernization and deinstallation of technical training equipment. You will ensure authorized/certified site equipment and software configurations are properly documented and maintained in accordance with DOD directives. You will advise the need and resources of establishing IT and technical equipment requirements.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide advisory service to the command on the planning, installation and maintenance of training equipment, Simulators, and associated software/firmware and ancillary equipment; 2) Develops studies to improve the efficiencies of information systems, tactical, simulation and virtual systems; 3) Ensure all changes to equipment is approved and properly documented; and 4) Advises the command on resources needed for establishing IT and technical equipment requirements.
