Duties
Senior level specialist responsible for providing IT project support, administrative, analytical, planning, and technical guidance to facilitate the day to day operations of Customer Support and Readiness.
Provides support in a variety of Information Resource Management disciplines, primarily program/project management and customer relations management.
Manages projects involving IT resources for DLA's customer base.
Coordinates requirements with other organizations within J6 as well as negotiates directly with customer representatives.
Develops, plans, and implements short- and long-term goals, objectives, and strategies in support of IT strategic plans and specific J6 priorities, (cont.)

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Analyzes, develops, schedules, and coordinates IT project initiatives.
Plans deployments of IT hardware/software to include determining the resources required and the appropriate schedule to follow.
Coordinates incident reporting and resolution with subject-matter experts in other departments as well as interfacing with other Desktop support teams and vendor technical support.
Develops and maintains plans that provide for the establishment and management of data requirements.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
