Duties

Manage the Directorate of Public Works maintenance program and operations within the maintenance areas of heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, carpentry and equipment accountability. Use knowledge of specialized methods and techniques in order to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the maintenance programs. Analyze a wide range of work requirements within the organization's program management which covers multiple trade disciplines. Provide technical assistance and instruction to operation sections of the division concerning maintenance and use of materials and equipment. Provide supervision to multiple trade disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry and equipment accountability. Evaluate effectiveness of operations in terms of mission accomplishment, quality/quantity standards, procedural, policy, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation may be required unless previously completed.
