About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville.
Duties
Directs the work of the Division through subordinate supervisors to include planning and scheduling work assignments on a long-range basis, projecting budget estimates, allocating resources, determining program goals and developing plans.
Communicates plans and procedures to subordinate supervisors, answer questions, resolve any new problems, and direct these integration efforts within the time frames and other constraints that are applicable.
Assesses the impact upon the installation mission and the organization's programs of significant developments in other parts of the agency, other governmental entities, and the private sector.
Monitors the progress of the organization toward goals of productions and personnel management objectives; periodically evaluates this progress and makes adjustments as necessary.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Prepare plans for scheduled repairs such as building, roofs, pavements, airfields, bridges, railroads, training areas, maintenance facilities and ammunition storage facilities; 2) Perform work to ensure contracts such as facility improvement, major services contracts, short-term construction contracts that meet government compliance requirements; 3) Work with contractors and other organizations about problems relating to scheduling of construction, maintenance and repair, materials or other issues concerning maintenance or construction.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
