Duties

As a Public Health Analyst you will: Serve as an analyst responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and advising on a well-defined and established program of a moderate complexity. Provide substantive program consultation and develops, implements, and evaluates program operations and strategies. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the assigned public health programs. Provide coordination, advice, oversight, and data management for components of research and/or demonstration projects. Serves as functional representative for all related projects and activities.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level, which must include the following experience: developing, implementing, and evaluating assigned public health programs at the community, state, national and/or international levels. OR have a PhD in Public Health or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related. Major study -- public health or other field of study with course work directly related to the work of the position to be filled. OR Have a combination of education and experience that together meets 100% of the qualification requirement for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
