You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (CBRNE) in the INSTALLATION PROTECTION BRANCH, OPERATIONS AND PLANS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will provide direct support to the Regional Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High-Yield Explosive (CBRNE) Program Manager (PM) and the Mission Assurance Director. You will operate and manage CBRNE equipment, services and maintenance, CBRNE equipment accountability, modernization, procurement, shipping and disposition of materials. You will coordinate, develop and implement Installation CBRNE logistics policies, programs and operations. You will develop technical and procedural documents required for guidance and control of CBRNE equipment management. You will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and sustainment of all CBRNE equipment, to include contract maintenance, coordination of one time services by outside vendors, test measurement and diagnostic equipment calibration. You will will develop logistics information system procedures, and ensures appropriate documentation is prepared and available for the end-users. You will make recommendations when procedures or guidelines do not exist for CBRNE equipment accountability, maintenance and life cycle management requirements that impact logistics support You will conduct marke.t surveys, perform analysis of data, establish information sources, design, development, sustainment, logistics support and fielding of systems to combat CBRNE/HAZMAT threats. You will conduct meetings with CBRNE equipment vendors and contractors to provide initial cost estimates for operational support and CBRNE equipment, as required. You will prepare, consolidate, verify and submit supply management requirements and CBRNE equipment shelf life reports, as required. You will develop supplemental technical and procedural documents required for effective guidance and control of MCIWEST Installation CBRNE supply management programs. You will coordinate the management of services/maintenance requirements, inventory determination, procurement of material, disposition of material, accountability of materiel and the operational management of the CBRNE account.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sectoridentifying program wide requirements, directing, developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistical actions required to support the organization. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent
