This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Entrepreneurial Development in Washington, D.C. This position is responsible for advising management on technical and policy matters concerning regulations and activities pertaining to the OED.
Duties
Advises the AA/DAA/OED leadership on technical and policy matters concerned with regulations, management and administration pertaining to OED and OEE, conducting liaison functions within the agency and provides executive leadership and direction, program oversight and management to OED's program and initiatives and its sub-offices.
Performs high visibility special assignments for the AA/OED and DAA/OED related to OEE programs and services occasionally assignments are often on an emergency basis and complex in nature and may be initiated by special problems or needs of the various operations and components of OED.
Provides information for the development of Statements of Work (SOW) and contract tasks to initiate the acquisition or retention of contractor resources to provide services/support for OEE and OED supported programs and projects, oversees the work performed under such tasks and assures that services and products fully satisfy contractual requirement specific tasks
Serves as an analyst, policy advisor and provides support to management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of such programs of OEE programs as SCORE, SBA Emerging leaders, Financial Literacy, the Community Navigator Pilot Program, SBA Learning Centers and other OEE initiatives
Requirements

- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector includes providing program management on the day-to-day operations of programs (such as the Community Navigators Pilot Program, Train, Hope, Rise, Innovate, Venture, Elevate (THRIVE) to Sr leaders.; And Experience with government programs to include but not limited to topics such as developing and implementing programs, contract related issues and program strategies.; And Communicating in writing and orally representing the organization, in meetings with high level government officials and private sector partners.
