This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinate security cooperation activities with key members of DoD, including OSD, the USINDOPACOM J55, the Joint Staff and the U.S. Inter-agency.
Duties
As a Program Analyst at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Develop long-range plans in conjunction with those agencies to develop full spectrum capability plans for partner nation capacity building in accordance with U.S. Government priorities and policies.
Serves as a Security Cooperation (SC) planner, developing annual and long-term SC strategies and strategic plans, assisting with GCC development of concepts and design of comprehensive Title 10 programs that encourage and enable international partners play security roles that support U.S. objectives.
Supports regional security cooperation offices and the INDOPACOM J55 with the development of country and regional security cooperation initiatives and programs that enhance desired partner security roles and US defense strategic objectives.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Advising leadership on strategic planning and improvements for global and functional initiatives
Addressing complex challenges and problems that impact programs and operations; analyzing partner capabilities and foreign competition
Identifying appropriate training and equipping solutions to meet strategic and country-level objectives
Supporting efforts to engage with other U.S. interagency stakeholders to identify appropriate security cooperation activities to incorporate into program design.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
