About the Position: This position is for the Desk Operations, located in the Garrison Directorate of Operations, Law Enforcement Division
Duties
Records information in various Law Enforcement Data Base
Performs detention cell operations with detainees
Makes law enforcement notifications to appropriate agencies and command personnel
Responds to investigates, and resolves emergency calls for service
Trains fellow officers on various reports and forms
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Pre-Appointment and Annual Physical Examination required
- Must pass the record Physical Ability Test (PAT) within 60 days of the hiring date
- Adhere to appearance and hygiene standards, In Accordance With (IAW) Army Regulation (AR) 190-56.
- Business Travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time away from the current duty location.Business Travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time away from the current duty location.
- Required working overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis around a 24-hour day, 7 days a week.
- Complete and pass required computer training from the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
- Required to meet the Lautenberg Amendment requirements and sign the Department of Defense's (DD) Form 2760 (Qualification to Possess Firearms or Ammunition).
- Must have graduated from the required U.S. Army Civilian Police Academy (USACPA); or willing to attend within one year of hire, or have an approved waiver/exemption or grandfathered by the office of the Provost Marshall General.
- This position requires pre-employment drug testing and random testing thereafter.
- This is a Mission Essential designated position and subject to immediate recall.
- This position is subject to the terms and conditions of the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) IAW AR 190-56
- This position requires Rotating Shift work.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have one year of specialized experience which includes responding to investigating emergency calls, complaints; conducting search and arrests to detains witnesses or apprehend suspects, interview witnesses; and collects and preserves evidence and conducts long and short-term investigations to identify suspects and develops case information for use in a court of law.
The OPM Qualification Standard provides the following examples: (1) experience that provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property; (2) specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; (3) through service as a military police officer; (4) in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreational environments; (5) in performing criminal investigative duties.
