The primary purpose of this position, COMMUNITY RESILIENCE COORDINATOR LEAD NH-0301-02, is to serve as conduit to installation unit, group and Wing Commander (CC/CCs)/Director (CL/CLs) for employee RESILIENCE AND READINESS matters.

Duties

For more information about ACWA including covered series and grades go to: https://www.opm.gov/faqs/topic/assessment/index.aspx?cid=1e3d1ba5-11cf-48c5-8b18-2dff8ea28536 Serve as Lead Community Resilience Coordinator for assigned Organization: Ensures civilian employees receive resource and referral to the appropriate helping agency Perform duties as a unit Community Resilience Coordinator Provide guidance to installation leadership on all quality of life and resilience matters impacting unit climate and assigned members. Maintain and regularly update resource guides to include: agency, service descriptions and contact information for on base, statewide and local community resources for civilian personnel. Ensure CAT initiatives are promoted and delivered within assigned unit/ units by promoting a fit, resilient and ready force through cross-functional education and training, campaigns, and programs.

  • Must receive required certification (ie - Master Resilience Trainer) within first assigned 12 months.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, ADMINISTRATIVE AND MANAGEMENT POSITIONS. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04), level, pay band (NH-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). General experience is described as the ability to analyze/evaluate issues related to unit resilience and readiness; develop and present reports; interface with a wide range of personnel, including senior leadership, with tact, courtesy, diplomacy, and professionalism and effectively teach, lead and assist with committees, working groups and teams. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicant must have equivalent combinations of successfully completed post high school education and experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies and precedents with affect the use of program and related supported resources in the area of installation resiliency. 2. Knowledge of available installation and community helping agencies/resources (i.e. Airman & Family Readiness Center, Employee Assistance Program, Civilian Health Promotion Services, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, etc.). 3. Skill in planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies including gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts; drawing conclusions; devising recommended solutions. 4. Skill in preparing and presenting initial training, briefings and presentations; ability to develop course material for briefings and training materials for a variety of audiences and possess skill in dealing with customers and the public. 5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate issues; and maintain good working relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is primarily sedentary. May require some walking, standing, bending, carrying and/or lifting of light items such as paper or books; No special physical demands are required to perform the work. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in a typical office setting, requiring the use of normal safety precautions necessary for an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. However, the incumbent may be required to move from one issue to the next, with many distractions, which may include but are not limited to noise in the production area.
