About the Position: Serves as the Protection Program Manager for the U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center. This position is located at the U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center, Fort Belvoir, VA

Duties

Knowledge of antiterrorism security criteria and standards, including safety requirements and personnel reliability sufficient to serve as a productive member of meetings and working groups. Effectively communicate to a broad range audience that includes military and civilian personnel. Ability to evaluate intelligence and discern factual and significant matters in news media and research the reliability of source in order to improve the safety of personnel and protection of critical assets. Development of organization Protection Plans which includes studying and interpreting directives, regulations, and various policies. Manage and execute budgets to ensure proper execution of all funds. Anticipate problems, develops sound solutions and action plans to ensure program/mission accomplishment

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret (SCI) security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• Position is designated as "Key" to ensure continuation of mission essential functions (MEF) during a wide range of emergencies.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a two-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
• This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
