You will serve as a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in MARCORSYSCOM.

Duties

You will maintain and implement practices related to Cost Estimating and Analysis. You will review and apply Cost Estimating and Analysis related policies, procedures, and relationships to plan and execute assigned functions. You will plan and execute procedures for requesting, review, acceptance, storage, retrieval, update, and dissemination of cost, programmatic, and technical data. You will maintain knowledge, communicate, and execute policies of data collection reporting such as contractor Cost and Software Data Reporting. You will analyze options and perform cost estimating and/or analysis for programs/projects to reflect requirement or economic changes. You will perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

• You must be willing to accept a Supervisory position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying various statistical AND mathematical techniques to convert data and information into analytical results to advise technical, financial, and program/project managers on solving complex problems; AND Utilizing analytical software to develop cost estimations that influence acquisition program products OR services. Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: A bachelor's or higher degree in operations research.

OR

A bachelor's or higher degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject matter courses requiring substantial competence in college level mathematics or statistics and at least 3 of 24 semester hours in calculus.
