Duties

You will advises senior leadership on all matters regarding the proper protocol in the execution of meetings and events. You will collect and analyze data on projects undertaken and report on project outcomes. You will coordinate conferences, events, and official ceremonies such as changes of command and retirement ceremonies. You will performs market research and coordinate with service providers such as caterers, entertainment and transportation companies. You will provide technical oversight for work performed by government and contractor staff, reports on variations of work orders and find solutions to any problems that arise concerning events. You will serves as a liaison with senior level officials of government departments, embassies, international dignitaries in the execution of Command events. You will write Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), event checklists and government instructions regarding military protocol and events.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Plan and execute ceremonies, events and official functions; 2) Review, analyze, evaluate and resolve issues in Ceremonies and Protocol; 3) Manage budget to include forecasting costs increases for Ceremonial requirements, reallocating funding to address emergency situations, and develop out-year cost projections; and 4) Develop briefings, conduct regular in-progress reports and after-action reports, and coordinate conferences and meetings.
