About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Identifies essential mission/organization goals and their effective training parameters and standards for the organization.
Manages development of operation orders, memoranda of instruction (MOI), and standard operating procedures (SOP) related to training, training management, and education.
Integrates internal and external program issues affecting the immediate organization, such as those involving technical, financial, organization, or administrative factors.
Provides leadership in the career development of subordinates. Appraises the operation of the divisions for effectiveness, quality of performance, and progress in meeting program objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Position requires the incumbent to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 5 percent of the time.
- This may require a 1-year supervisory probation

This position is in the Supervision/management Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. One year of Specialized experience would be demonstrated by
1. Exercising the full range of personnel management responsibilities over subordinate positions and contracts as required by the command (i.e. resolves problems and complaints/grievances, maintains that Standard/policies are followed, advised and guidance for subordinates, direct work, appraises operation of the division for effectiveness , evaluates and reviews work, and quality of performance) 2. Prepares tasking directives for academic divisions to ensure training requirements are accomplished by subordinates. 3. Collaborates with training managers, leads in other academic training schools, TRADOC, communications-electronics command (CECOM) managers, and civilian contractors to negotiate or coordinate work-related changes affecting other divisions.
