About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Plans and implements special projects designed to: improve procedures; respond to general taskings; answer internal, external, and higher headquarters' inquiries; and/or correct a deficiency affecting the overall education and training missions.
Serves as a second-line supervisor, exercising the full range of personnel management responsibilities over subordinate positions and contractors as required.
Provides direction and guidance to academic training support personnel and division chiefs.
Determines the need and develops plans for organizational changes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 5 percent of the time.
- Position requires the incumbent to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One Year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Provides Leadership in the career development of subordinates to resolving complaints, evaluates performance, develops performance objectives, reviews and approves performance appraisals. 2. Uses the training database system for command needs such as US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), communications-electronics command (CECOM) managers, knowledge management (KM) program, the Total Army School System (TASS), the Structure Manning Decision Review (SMDR), and Inter-service Training Review Organization (ITRO) meetings. 3. Determines the impact to the Signal School and Training Brigade of newly developed policies, integrating them into mission requirements with understanding of Signal network operations.
