The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of procurement control duties involving supplies, transfers, equipment accountability, and other general office duties. Assigned duties will be dependent upon the daily operational supply and equipment needs of the commissary.

Duties

- Performs a variety of procurement control duties involving supplies, transfers, equipment accountability, and other general office duties in various departments of the commissary (meat, grocery, produce, warehouse, front-end, and cash office). - Responsible for accountability and control, procurement, issue, and disposition of supplies and equipment such as cash registers, meat slicers/grinders, refrigerators, forklifts, and other general equipment. - Maintains the property accounting register relating to supplies and equipment. - Assists management with cyclic accountable inventories. - Ensures items of urgent demand or critical nature meet regulatory guidelines for procurement. - Maintains adequate stock and keeps shelves neat and orderly. Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 2005 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, superior academic achievement, or a combination of experience and education to qualify. Experience: Possession of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level. Examples of specialized experience include: - Completes work using supply regulations, policies, and procedures. - Establishes supply channels to perform a wide range of standard clerical assignments and resolve recurring problems. - Responsible for receipt, storage, issue, and replenishment of a wide variety of store items. OR Education: Four (4) full years of successfully completed education above high school at an accredited business, secretarial, technical school, junior college, college, or university. Transcripts are required if relying on education, in whole or in part, to qualify. See Required Documents for more information. OR Combination of experience and education: To calculate the combination, divide your total months of experience by 12, then divide your semester hours by 60 and add the two percentages. If the total is 100%, you meet the minimum qualifications through a combination of experience and education. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical requirements: (1) Stand, stoop, kneel, bend and climb for prolonged periods. (2) Must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
