This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD).

Duties

Perform Pre-Letter of Request (LOR) tasks. Develop Standard Request for Information (RFI) Packages for non PEO/PM managed items to include pricing and availability; capabilities, specs and performance data using a Total Package Approach (TPA). Develop Letter of Offer and Acceptance Data (LOAD) for Basic cases, Amendments, Modifications, Pricing and Availability cases and enters data into DSAMS. Prepare internal Case Development Manpower Worksheet and Annual Budget Plan. Perform Logistics Support tasks and Perform Security Assistance Financial Reviews. Perform services such as: Configuration Management, Weapons systems management, Systems integration for assigned cases. Prepare and submit Contract Requirements Package (CRP)/Acquisition Requirements Package (ARP).

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of progressively responsible general work experience with one (1) year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 or GS-04 grade level, which includes 1) Assisting with drafting Pre-Letter of Request (LOR) to assist in the acquisition of major weapon systems; 2) Assisting in the cradle to grave initiatives to include schedule of work, cost and payment schedule in support of a logistical program; and 3) Assisting with developing life cycle logistics support initiatives to lower overall life cycle systems cost; OR Successfully completed a full four (4) year course of study leading to a Bachelor's Degree. (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.); OR The general experience as described in A, but less than three (3) years; and some education as described in B, but less than the required four (4) years. Compute the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 36. Then, divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.).
