You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER (Test Methods & Facilities Division Head) in the Test Methods & Facilities Division (AB44000) and the Propulsion and Power Engineering Department (AB4) Department of the Air Systems Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
The Test Methods & Facilities Division Managers provides resources for the execution of Test & Facilities Engineering.
The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, Maryland.
Duties
You will serve as the Test Methods and Facilities Division Managers provides resources for the execution of Test and Facilities Engineering.
You will provide specific engineering specialties needed to adequately evaluate designs and design problems as well as translate operational needs into technical requirements and technology development plans.
You will have responsibilities including the definition of technical requirements, monitoring performance, engineering investigations/evaluations, test and evaluation, engine/aircraft integration, in-service engineering and technology transition.
You will develop and maintain budget for the organization and for various test project support work and controlling organizational expenditure.
You will plan, direct, and control all the activities of the division and will be responsible for managing personnel skills, processes, and resources, as well as the overall technical conduct of the division.
You will develop the processes and provides the required resource skills to support Integrated Product Teams, Externally Directed Teams and Enterprise Teams.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS 13/14) grade level or pay band (NM-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing long-range plans and establishing specific program objectives to meet current and future customer requirements;
2) Carrying out the full range of combined technical and administrative supervisory duties including effective personnel conflict resolutions, mentoring, performance evaluations, and award recommendations;
3) Evaluating designs and design problems as well as translating operational needs into technical requirements and technology development plans;
4) Demonstrating a thorough understanding of electronic warfare principles and practices, aircraft power systems, and aircraft weapon systems;X
5) Providing expert technical leadership and direction (expert technical leadership including propulsion system test procedures, hardware, methodology and overall test philosophy) to project teams, engineering, other technical personnel for test planning and execution.
