You will serve as a Supervisory Program Manager, Management Analyst, Logistics Management Specialist in the Air Systems Group, Operations/Plans and Strategy Office of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of tasks. You will ensure sound fiscal management by observing and applying STRL position management and classification principles, analyzing, and monitoring, and reducing costs. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. You will provide long-range plans and establish specific program objectives to meet current and future personnel requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band (NM-04) or grade level (GS-13/14) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Managing day to day operations of technical organization including task prioritization and execution, and scheduling; 2) Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty, requirements of the assignments, and capabilities of the employees; 3) Establishing technical objectives and other basic guides to be followed by personnel within the Group, and reviews the performance of all Group personnel; 4) Demonstrating working knowledge of the Air systems, the Department of Navy and the Department of Defense policies and procedures; 5) Identifying developmental and training needs of employees; and 6) Developing plans and making written and oral presentations for the stakeholders on project status, technical problems, scheduling, and costs and/or reviews. .
