About the Position: This Supervisory Range Operations Specialist is located at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, YTC Range Operations and Training Division with duty location of Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. (merit)
Duties
Serve as Chief, Range Operations and Training Division, at Yuma Test Center, Yuma Proving Ground.
Manage personnel that are engaged in areas such as scheduling, resource planning, activity control, training program coordination, and safety support for all test center downrange activities.
Advise upon program areas such as ground-fired systems, automotive and combat vehicle systems, aviation and air delivery systems, and electronic warfare systems.
Perform management functions of personnel assigned through subordinate supervisors.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Protective clothing or equipment as authorized by the YPG Safety Office.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Develop plans to execute the procedures involved in the management and safe operation of range testing; AND 2) Review draft test or training proposals to provide responses. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13/NH-03)
