You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton (NAMRU-D) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base of NAMEDRSCHU DAYTON W PATT AFB.

Duties

You will conduct and manage Naval Medical Research Unit and host installation physical security program requirements. You will conduct vulnerability assessments of command buildings/facilities to check security procedures and compliance with regulations and conducts Security Program inspections. You will manage commands development, implementation and operation of an integrated anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) program in joint base environment. You will develop, implement exercises, and operates in an integrated AT Plan to ensure the protection and security of personnel, property and materials. You will manage Outside Continental United States travel for military, civil service and contractor personnel. You will serve as the program manager for Mission Partner Identity, Credential and Access Management (MP ICAM), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and electronic questionnaires for National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing problems areas or situation identify through inspections and develops appropriate control and solutions. Developing and implement security procedures to ensure proper handling and safeguarding of classified material. Utilizing defense security database and software systems such as: Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire, E-QIP, Defense Messaging System, Joint Personnel Adjudication System and Microsoft office. Inspecting and investigating periodically for adequacy and effectiveness of security controls.
