You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/CUSTSPT) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/ INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (IT/IM) DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will analyze an organization's information technology (IT) structural framework to drive alignment of modernization plans across an operational domain. You will develop a communication plan to establish information technology (IT) architecture and infrastructure planning and management objectives. You will brief customers and stakeholders on the planning, design, and development of information technology (IT) systems throughout an organization. You will collaborate with customers to define information technology (IT) hardware, software, or other information system resource needs. You will analyze information technology (IT) systems malfunctions to implement corrective actions. You will document system failures to identify trends or problems with incompatible systems.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECILISED experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Trouble shoot network connectivity, software issues, and user problems; 2) Process IT service desk requests and resolve tickets received through ticketing systems; 3) Chairs and/or serves on various project teams on matters related to information systems networks; and data; video and voice communication; 4) Assign work to assigned personnel based on priorities and the difficulty and requirements of assignments.
