A successful candidate in this position will serve as a Supervisory Program Manager and will be responsible for supervision, leadership and coordinating Mission Assurance and Infrastructure oversight of contractor activities.
Duties
As a Supervisory Program Manager, the incumbent will:
Serve as the Assistant Manager for Mission Assurance and Infrastructure within the DOE\NNSA Los Alamos Field Office and reports directly to the Deputy Manager for Business, Security and Missions, who is a member of the Senior Executive Service.
Be responsible for long-range program development, implementation, and evaluation; budgetary planning; establishment and coordination of Mission Assurance and Infrastructure.
Identify operational needs and reporting requirements to attain desired programmatic goals and results.
Develop and operate business management systems and procedures to meet programmatic and/or regulatory compliance requirements.
Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative, the incumbent monitors and documents contractor efforts to ensure technical compliance, efforts and major security projects.
Apply a wide range of methods to analyze and improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and work results.
Be responsible for the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of assessment activities.
Qualifications
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal Service, i.e., EN-03, NQ-03 or GS-13. The specialized experience is defined as experience overseeing and evaluating nuclear/non-nuclear multi-program functions (such as nuclear weapons development and production, non-proliferation, quality assurance, research, environmental management, waste management, facilities management, project management, or landlord programs).
Examples of Specialized Experience can include:
1. Applying sound technical and business judgment regarding the operation and/or the planning and construction of facilities and management of assets.
2. Experience implementing environmental or waste management programs.
3. Demonstrating a proficiency in understanding and executing nuclear weapons development and its production.
4. Experience ensuring the safety and reliability of the nuclear weapons stockpiles and its maintenance.
5. Experience implementing a quality assurance program.
