This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Deputy Commandant for Operations (CG-DCO), Office of Cyberspace Forces, Washington, DC.
Duties
This incumbent manages the Cyberspace Forces program office providing full spectrum Cyberspace Operations capability management and acts as Headquarters Planning Coordinator (HQPC) for all assigned multi mission cyberspace resources. Services provided include identifying and providing capabilities, competencies, capacity; and developing standards for the staffing, training, equipping, sustaining, maintaining, and employing Coast Guard forces to meet Cyberspace Operations mission requirements.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must include the following:
Analyzing program effectiveness and recommending improvements related to cyberspace and cyber capabilities; AND
Managing or leading a team or workgroup; AND
Preparing detailed technical reports, giving presentations, and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; AND
Prioritizing resource investments and/or allocations for a project or program; AND
Advising stakeholders on the planning, developing, and/or executing of projects.
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
