About the Position: Serve as Individual Military Training Specialist for US ARMY SPACE & MSL DEF CMD (USASMDC), DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF,
G-3, TRNG, READINESS & EXERCISES DIVISION , TRAINING & READINESS BRANCH, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.
Duties
Serves as a member of the USASMDC Training and Readiness (T and R) Branch within the G3 Training, Readiness, and Exercises and Evaluations (TREX) Division, reporting directly to the Chief, G3 T and R Branch.
Acts as the subject matter expert for the Command and is responsible for all matters and programs pertaining to individual military training for the Command.
Develops plans to manage individual military training requirements.
The Command has Army Service Component Command and proponent responsibilities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- TDY up to 5%.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Drug Test Required. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing military training support to include ammunition, training management systems, training requirements and tracking, and school requirements across all segments of the organization; analyzing the effectiveness of training management within the agency to measure the compliance with higher level requirements; analyze the training requirements to support command component mission; conducting business process studies to identify problem areas and recommend solutions; delivering presentations to communicate program goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
