About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist exercising functional responsibility for accomplishment of logistics management functions for the US Army Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) Activity (USATA)

Duties
Advise and assist Army Commanders and their staffs on developing and executing plans to effectively and efficiently source TMDE assets in peacetime/garrison and to a Theater of Operations or other contingencies.
Serve as an authority on logistics matters for assigned TMDE/Calibration systems and related equipment. Conduct lifecycle logistics assessments to determine TMDE Supportability impacts across the Enterprise.
Develop milestones, ensure compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements of TMDE support for new weapon systems.
Function as an interface for the organization, maintaining points of contact for Army activities, outside the USATA, who provide logistical support for the Army TMDE CRS program
Lead Integrated Product Teams to resolve complex logistical problems in support of the Army Calibration mission
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Must obtain and maintain Level III Acquisition Certification in Life Cycle Logistics within y years of entrance on duty.
- May be required to travel TDY up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and evaluating the state of organizational and logistics readiness through the compilation and analysis of data to determine availability, state of repair of TMDE and training as related to long and short range planning of mission support while observing for potential issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
