This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operations Division, Office of Domestic Operations (OD), Arlington, VA.
This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Operational Support Division, Cyber Support Section (SCC) and serve as the Program Manager and advisor for Operations Unit (SCA) and/or Support Unit (SCB).
Duties
As a Program Manager, your typical work assignments may include:
Initiates programs and solutions to correct or avoid duplications, inefficiencies and procedural deficiencies.
Recommends, prepares and implements reprogramming requests based on continuing and changing requirements.
Directs professional and technical personnel in producing new or modified management policies, goals, and objectives.
Develops detailed plans to improve efficient operations, achieve mission and policy objectives, and access program accomplishments and make course corrections when necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements:
A. Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing, maintaining and monitoring the necessary internal control procedures and expenditures of financial resources in all program areas to ensure compliance with approved budgets and program objectives; 2) Coordinating and developing detailed plans and short and long term goals for implementation and administration of an agency program; 3) Collects complex data using advanced techniques from a variety of large -scale databases; and, 4) Analyzes and provides advice to section managers regarding existing program procedures and recommends the continuation, modification or abolishment of current policies and guidelines.
