This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Vice Commandant, Deputy Commandant for Operations, CYBER COMAND located in Washington, DC.
Duties
You will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in the U. S. Coast Guard (USCG) within Coast Guard's Cyber Command (CGCYBER). You will be responsible for the planning, analysis, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will liaison with other USCG organization elements as well as other government on emerging IT security issues. You will be responsible for providing on-scene leadership and guidance in reducing Cyber risk and defending the Coast Guard's network.

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- A Secret clearance is required for this position.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Applicants must possess ALL of the specialized experience listed below:
Demonstrating experience with leading projects related to information systems.
Communicating with and facilitating responses from senior level management and other stakeholders on IT project activities.
Analyzing risk management procedures for information systems authorizations.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
