About the Position: This position is located at the Headquarters Department of the Army, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G -3/5/7, USA Operations and Plans Support Group, U.S. Army Nuclear Chemical Agency - USANCA located at the Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Duties
Lead the Theater Support Branch as Chief, responsible to the Nuclear and CWMD Operations Division (NCOD) Chief for the management of the Agency’s forward deployed nuclear and CWMD planners.
Ensure forward deployed planners are fully trained, integrated, and synchronized in order to achieve Agency and Army goals and objectives at their respective Combatant Command (CCMD) or Army Service Component Command (ASCC).
Lead USANCA efforts managing, directing, integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing nuclear operations into conventional contingency plans.
Promote integration of nuclear and conventional war planning, exercises, and training. Supports Chief, NCOD on development and implementation of nuclear and CWMD strategy.
Present and defend recommendations at the highest levels within the Army. Reviews and analyzes Joint and DOD strategic military planning documents to identify implications for Army operations and subsequent Army requirements.
Support the Nuclear Employment Augmentation Team (NEAT) Branch as a member of the NEAT. Maintain training and deployment readiness to support real-world and exercise NEAT missions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
