This position is part of the Southeastern Power Administration. As an Administrative Clerk, you will perform a variety of administrative and clerical support functions in support of the Legal Affairs Administration (LAA) and to enhance the operation of the organization.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Elberton, GA duty location.**

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in federal service having demonstrated experience in at least three (3) of the following:
Administrative and clerical support activities such as answering phones and distributing mail.
Operating computer software packages such as Microsoft Suite.
Prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
Reviewing and editing documents for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and spellings.
Operating office automation equipment, including personal computers, printers, copiers, fax, calculators, etc..
OR
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university.
OR
Combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
Education
