This National Guard position is for a HR SPECIALIST (MILITARY) - Title 32, Position Description Numbers D2014000/D2009000 and is part of the WI JFHQ G1, Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Duties
As a Human Resources Specialist:
GS/07: You will serve as the final reviewer and procedural authority of personnel actions submitted to the MILPO by lower echelons. Work is to be performed in one or more of the following work areas: Personnel Systems Management, Officer or Enlisted Personnel Management (OPM, EPM), Retirement Points Accounting Management (RPAM), Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP), Montgomery G.I. Bill, Physical Disability Evaluation System (PDES), Incapacitation Pay (INCAP), Mobilization (MOB)/Demobilization (DEMOB), TRICARE, Military Medical Support Office (MMSO), Line of Duty (LOD) investigations, and Funeral Honors/Casualty Assistance.
GS/09: You will provide technical expertise and guidance for all military personnel assigned in the State, and oversees the functions of one of the following human resource programs: Officer Personnel Management (OPM), Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM), Personnel Systems, SIDPERS Interface Branch (SIB), or the Personnel Services Section.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
To qualify for the GS-07 level: You must have at least 12 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. You must have experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person- to-person contacts to convey information. Must have progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience interpreting regulations, policies or law and providing guidance.
To qualify for the GS-09 level: You must have at least 24 months experience providing technical guidance
and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. You must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of personnel management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
