The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor with responsibility over assigned staff members and The Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) core programs and associated services.
This position may offer a Supervisory or Team Leader Cash Differential.
Duties
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
Encourages self-development. Approves master leave schedule assuring adequate coverage for peak workloads and traditional holiday leave.
Assesses needs and provides work/life services to leadership, organizations, and populations serviced by The Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC).
Supports and participates in quality initiatives. Participates in quality self-assessments.
Prepares and presents briefings. Prepares necessary reports, correspondence, documentation, etc. Performs budget formulation, execution and administration including preparation, analysis and monitoring of M&FRC budgets.

- Previous experience as M FRC Community Readiness Consultant (CRC) is highly desirable
- Completion of Air University Airman and Family Readiness Foundational Course is highly desirable
- PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations. This is a Centrally Managed position under the Force Support Career Field
- The employee must, within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is described as assisting military personnel, retirees, civilian employees, and their families in balancing the unique demands of the military mission and family responsibilities; providing information and family services to support military personnel, civilian employees, and their family members; providing and conducting programs and services that provide information, improve competencies and coping skills, and offering short-term support and assistance when necessary; providing a wide range of work/life services that include career, transition, relocation, financial assistance, family life education, and other work and life services and activities. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of social services delivery systems and concepts, principles, and theories relating to one or more of the social or behavioral science fields as well as of community services, locations, and availability to serviced populations.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare budget estimates, develop alternatives, and make recommendations to resolve budget/funding problems.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact and diplomacy in interacting with leadership, individuals/families, service agencies' representatives, and staff.
Ability to speak distinctly and communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain effective work relationships.
Knowledge of Military & Family Readiness Center mission, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding pertinent to M&FRC programs.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
