You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Code 501 for the Supply Department (Code 500) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates for Supply sourcing and execution support work in support of AUKUS.
You will manage the material sourcing process and ensure the execution of all material sourcing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, in support of AUKUS.
You will develop and initiate administrative procedures and controls to ensure that the AUKUS material support work by the Shipyard is performed in an orderly manner within the time and budget constraints.
You will develop, adapt and control plans, programs, policies and procedures within the framework of technical guidance provided by Supply Director and Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA).
You will develop new Material sourcing and Material execution policies and practices when required to maintain successful material and quality operations in AUKUS.
You will review and analyze short and long-range strategic material planning, sourcing, and execution objectives and goals.
You will hold discussions and meetings with key staff members as necessary to obtain pertinent details surrounding or involving problem areas; recommend options to resolving issues.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of supply management program operations to make recommendations, develop and implement new procedures and practices and to improve processes in such areas as material acquisition and expediting in order to accomplish the shipyard's mission.
