You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (INVENTORY) in the Supply Department (Code 510.1), Compliance Branch, of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will monitor and track performance measures to ensure timeframes and benchmarks are being met. You will provide accurate data entry, maintaining of inventory custody, and properly accounting for exceptions. You will assist with internal and external inventory audit support across all inventory segments. You will investigate problems as they occur, recommend resolutions, and report to the chain of command. You will conduct and coordinate oversight for local Inventory Management, research analysis and corrective action. You will ensure that material management processes are correctly accounting for inventory and to use as data sources for spot checks, reviews, causative research, audits and other related functions that are centered on improving inventory accuracy. You will coordinate with inventory partners and representatives of other organizations to maintain a constant state of compliance readiness.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating inventory management requirements by compiling and tracking practical or technical data and identifying trends and problems to ensure timely and accurate supply or material support to ensure mission readiness. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
