You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIV, of RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will serve as a Security Specialist in support of the East Coast Fleet Training Program and an Activity Assistant Security Manager on behalf of the command.
You will be responsible for implementing procedures, standards, and methods to ensure compliance with all DOD, DON, and NSWC Corona policies and requirements.
You will address security requirements as they pertain to support execution of the fleet training program mission while ensuring the identification and protection of information, personnel, property, operations, and materials.
You will work with the on-site security branch head as well as the command Security Division to verify the access level of personnel (government and contractor), visitor access and control, Operational Security, etc.
You will be responsible for oversight management of the classified material inventory tracking system as well as maintaining the processes and procedures to ensure compliance for storing, shipping, and hand-carrying classified assets.
You will support security related investigations as tasked.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current SPeD certification.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implementing and ensuring compliance with security policies to oversee personnel, physical, information security, training, classified material, and access control, while supporting security investigations, in order to protect information, personnel, and operations for a security program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
