You will serve as a Production Controller in the Rapid Prototyping/Fabrication Technical Division within the Undersea Systems & Sustainment Engineering Department of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).

Duties

You will provide support for planning efforts related to Division monitoring, reporting and taking necessary corrective actions to ensure major production programs finish within established financial and schedule controls. You will serve as a liaison with the first line supervisors, technical project managers, Branch Heads and divisions on planning and financial issues related to Division projects. You will orchestrate an ongoing team effort of planning, scheduling, procurement coordination, and problem resolutions as time and changing priorities dictate. You will advise Logisticians on material requirements and on procurement activities necessary to support production schedule due dates. You will regularly evaluate and brief internal and external stakeholders Cost, Schedule, and Performance/Quality metrics to ensure that the production plan is realistic and that the Division is within acceptable levels of project performance.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Creating and reviewing production plans that incorporate material and cost requirements for production maintenance programs.
