Duties

Analyzing and reporting the state of the project relative to funding guidance work years and ensuring effective performance. Developing secure software according to secure software deployment methodologies, tools, and practices. Planning and providing customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and training. Preparing technical specifications, reports, and statements of work. Evaluating proposals, providing technical guidance to contractors, resolving technical problem areas, observing progress, and evaluating performance. Serving as technical expert and Command representative in the area of enterprise systems on matters related to new IT/software concepts and other plans of significant impact and importance. Developing coordinating, and promoting interagency cooperative efforts in the management, utilization, and operation of data processing and data communication resources. Serves as the lead or principal analyst, designs software modifications; evaluates software designs; evaluates systems configurations and monitors implementation; evaluates test and quality assurance plans.

Requirements

• Position requires Temporary Duty or Business Travel 10% of the time, sometimes on short notice to world-wide locations, using the fastest mode of transportation available.
• This is an army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance of duty.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

AND In addition to the competencies, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02/GS-11) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Performing project and/or contract management duties in areas of information/software project management, risk management, software process models, or software engineering technologies /tools; 2) Representing an organization on matters related to new IT/software concepts or other plans of significant impact or importance; 3) Developing procedures or strategies to improve the efficiency of software development; 4) Modifying existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, or improve performance; and 5) Assessing software design programs to ensure they are meeting program objectives.
