You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist in the Program Administration Branch (Code 1430.1) Quality Assurance Division (Code 1430), of the Naval Foundry & Propeller Center (Code 1400) (NFPC) located at NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will supervise engineers and quality specialists assigned to various assessment and inspection functions and technical areas.
You will resolve technical, scientific, and design problems beyond the capacity of the subordinate personnel.
You will coordinate efforts with EEO Officials during the development and execution of policies affecting civilian personnel.
You will develop the approach for the quality assessment program utilizing a combination of inspections, surveillance audit, evaluation and assessment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Exercising technical and administrative supervision of personnel by planning, scheduling, assigning, and evaluating work quality and completion.
Assisting with recommendations for hiring promotions, transfer, reassignment, recognition and disciplinary actions.
Serving as a liaison for internal and external personnel to facilitate conferences and discussions to understand and resolve differences with Naval Foundry & Propeller Center's programs and processes.
Assisting with the coordination and preparation of training for personnel in specialized fields.
Demonstrating a broad practical familiarity with naval propulsor and shipboard engineered systems/components and shop industrial processes with the ability to use quality assessment skills.
Utilizing knowledge of NFPC organization and functions as outlined in NAVSIDPYDNORINST P5450.12H.
Possess knowledge of the engineered safeguards instituted with respect to shop safety, and the meaning of radiological warning signs and boundaries safety, and the meaning of radiological warning signs and boundaries.
