Duties

You will oversee and develop, administer and implement policy, processes and procedures in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy policy for In-service Support, Distance Support, and CASREP action tracking. You will provide authoritative advice and technical expertise to resolve Issues relating to In-service and Fleet Support policy and supportability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, etc. You will manage the processing of designation and certification requests to a conclusion and ensure compliance with established policy and processes. You will review weekly, monthly and quarterly PSR data and provide performance analysis and recommendations to ISEA managers and other leadership to improve responsiveness to the fleet. You will assist in managing the NAVWAR utilization of the Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD) Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) infrastructure and will utilize Information Technology Infrastructure library (ITIL) methodologies.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing In-Service Support requirements of an In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) and evaluating their effectiveness to achieve system readiness.
